Game 32 - @ Houston (L 114-105 / +-11-21) Friday December 31, 2010
Watched the whole game
The Raptors just let the lead slip away again in this one. The Rockets just took over and the Raptors started taking bad shots when they became demoralized. Then Houston goes on a run and never looks back, they look solid throughout their lineup and most players are able to have good games. Houston’s bench dominated the Raptors’ bench 65 – 23. Chase Budinger had 22, Kevin Martin with 20 and the Rockets score 40+ in what proves to be another agonizingly defensiveless second quarter for Toronto that sets the Raptors up for a lackluster second half. DeMar DeRozan had a great game with 29 points in the second half towards a career high 37 points (no assists), and Linas Kleiza was once again solid in the starting rotation with another double-double (17 and 12), but something is just missing from this team. The Rockets fight to a 16-16 record, while the Raptors end up at 11-21 to end 2010. It’s been a long road trip out West with plenty of ups-and-downs, so look forward to being back home January Second in the ACC against the Boston Celtics. I’ll be there, and I’ll be cheering optimistically for a reinvigorated 2011 Toronto Raptors team. See you next year!
