So many good games on tonight. This was not one of them. The banged-up Raps? Doesn’t exactly have a ring to it, but still missing Peja and Reggie, Calderon’s mysterious foot, and Bargnani, who sat this one out with a “sore left knee.” Fans leave with a bad taste in their mouth on Italian night with no pizza (for 100 points) and only a limited edition Bargnani bobble-head and he didn’t even play. It was supposed to be his night, I never understand when players just won’t act like basketball is entertainment too sometimes, so way to ruin it for everybody. The Bulls can’t even savour the win, their seventh straight, because they announce after the game that Noah will miss 8-10 weeks. Just a brutal heartbreak all around. Except for me, who traded Noah for Dwight in my fantasy league just two weeks ago. Besides that, the Celtics’ Pierce topping the Knicks in New York + Amar’e “almost” game winner = Classic, Ginobili’s game winner over the Bucks, and the Cavaliers in Miami, why dwell on unpleasantness.
Botched Italian night or Pierce quiets the Garden? Tough call...
