Raptors Coverage: Jan 22, @ Miami

Game 44 - @ Miami (L 120-103 / 13-30 / streak L7) Saturday January 22, 2011
Didn’t watch
Without Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade the Heat rocked the Raptors to end their own four game losing streak and extend the Raptors streak to seven. The Heat fired up fast to a twenty-six point halftime lead and cruised from there. Raptors games like this never seem even close, yet Bargnani had 28 points, DeMar had 30, and Jose had 14 points and 13 assists. Despite well-played games from Toronto’s star players it was LeBron James, with 38, 11, and 6, and Mike Miller who took over the game. Miller sparked a 22-point individual effort in the second quarter and finished with 32 points and 10 rebounds in his first ‘real’ home game of the season. It was actually within seven points in the fourth quarter until Mario Chalmers drops Jose Calderon off at school for the day with the quick jab-step, before draining the open three-pointer, in one of the best ankle-breaker moments in recent memory (link below). Ultimately the Heat prevail and the Raptors come home looking to turn things around in a 3-game homestand against Memphis, Philadelphia and Milwaukee, in what has been a 2-win, 10-loss 2011 so far.
